Biography

2011 Outdoors: Selected to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team...Won the long jump competition at the Sam Howell Invitational on April 1 (19'2¾), the FDU Track Classic on April 9 (19'1¼) and the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships on April 15 (18'10½)...Moved from sixth place to third on her final attempt to clinch the bronze medal in the Women's Long Jump Championship of America at the historic Penn Relays on April 28, leaping 20'1 to become just the second Manhattan woman ever to clear 20 feet outdoors...Named MAAC Performer of the Week for that effort...Earned Most Outstanding Performer for Field Events honors at the MAAC Outdoor Championships (May 7-8) after setting a meet record in the long jump (19'5¼) and also winning the triple jump (38'10½) while placing second in the 4 x 100 meter relay, fourth in the 100 meters (12.38) and ninth in the 200 meters (25.54)...Competed in the long jump at the NCAA East Regional (May 26), finishing 19th with a leap of 19'8.

2010-11 Indoors: Earned MAAC Performer of the Week honors four times during the season (Dec. 7, Dec. 14, Jan. 18, Feb. 15)...Finished the season ranked 19th in Division I in the long jump...Won the long jump in six of seven meets in which she contested the event, taking second in the other...Opened the season by breaking the old school record in the long jump with a distance of 19'10¾ at the Manhattan Opener on Dec. 1...Had a winning mark of 19'10¼ in the long jump at the Albany Great Dane Classic on Jan. 21...Captured gold in the long jump with a leap of 18'11¾ and added a bronze in the triple jump (37'4) at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships on Jan. 28...Became the first Manhattan woman ever to jump 20 feet indoors with a mark of 20'1½, then broke her own school record with a 20'5¾ leap at the Manhattan College Invitational on Feb. 9...Named Most Outstanding Performer for Field Events after setting a new meet record in the long jump (19'11¾) while also taking gold in the triple jump (38'7¾) and finishing seventh in the 55 meters (7.42) at the MAAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 18...Grabbed second place in the long jump (19'4¾) at the ECAC Championships on March 5.

Other: Represented Sweden in the long jump at the 2011 European Under-23 Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

Before Manhattan: Placed third in the long jump at the 2009 Swedish Championships...Took the gold in the long jump at the annual Sweden-Finland under-17 dual meet in 2007...Recorded personal bests of 20 feet, 5 inches (6.23 meters) in the long jump and 39'10 (12.13 m) in the triple jump...Also ran a time of 12.46 in the 100 meters.
