GENERAL: Utility infielder with good defensive skills who adds depth to the roster... offers a solid offensive option off the bench... possesses good speed and base running skills.

2011: Played in eight games in a reserved role... got six at bats during the regular-season... had one hit and scored his first run of the season at Columbia on April 13... scored the game-tying run as a pinch runner in the eighth inning against Canisius in the MAAC Tournament opening round leading to the Jaspers 3-2 victory.

2010: Appeared in nine games off the bench... tallied his first career hit and scored first career run helping the Jaspers to a 17-6 victory at Albany on April 28...made his collegiate debut on Feb. 27 at #10 Miami... played both second base and shortstop.

BEFORE MANHATTAN: Lettered three years of varsity baseball at Lakeland High School under head coach Dennis Robinson... named All-Section I League II North and served as a team captain senior year... hit .379, scored 14 runs and had 10 RBI helping the Hornets to a 20-2 record as a senior... earned the 2009 Lakeland Baseball Coaches Award... lettered in basketball at Lakeland.

PERSONAL: A civil engineering major... the son of Edward and Kathleen Simmons... has a sister, Kaitlin... father played  baseball at Fordham... aunt Evelyn McKeon '94 graduated from Manhattan College... enjoys skiing.
