BEFORE MANHATTAN: Four year letterwinner at Elmira Free Academy playing for head coach Jason Manwaring... earned All-Southern Tier Athletic Conference honors as a sophomore, junior and senior... two year team captain... named to the All-New York State Fourth Team and was Elmira Free Academy Most Valuable Player as a senior after batting .420 with 12 doubles, two home runs and 25 RBI... recorded a 7-2 record and posted a 2.28 ERA during senior year, while striking out 40 batters in 44 innings of work... earned the Blue Devils' Most Valuable Player Award at the conclusion of junior season after batting .441, driving in 21 RBI, blasting four home runs and stealing seven bases... played summer ball for the South Florida Bandits under head coach Mark Holtzman.
