GENERAL: Junior College transfer... will compete for starting spot behind the plate... hard working Canadian talent... has a strong arm and is solid defensively... works well with pitching staff... multi-sport athlete in high school.

 

BEFORE MANHATTAN: Played two years at Monroe Community College... helped guide Monroe to back-to-back Junior College World Series appearances (2007 & 2008)... served as team captain final year at Monroe... lettered four years at Merivale High School... named team captain and Most Valuable Player three straight seasons (2004-2006)... selected Merivale’s Junior Athlete of the Year and Senior Athlete of the Year... lettered three years in football and was named team MVP in 2003 and 2004... played two years of hockey and one year in curling at Merivale.

 

PERSONAL: A communication major... the son of Alan and Schona Fitzgerald... has a brother, Billy... enjoys playing outdoor rink hockey, snowboarding and golf.
