Hammer (65.9m) and the national high school record in the 12-lb. Hammer (77.21m) as a senior...also holds the national high school record in the 25-lb. Weight Throw (23.53m) as well as the high school junior-class record in the 12-lb. Hammer (69.13m)...won the Junior National title in the 16-lb Hammer (65.01m) and finished second (64.89m) at the Pan-American Nationals...was undefeated by US thrower with both the 12-lb and 16-lb Hammer...named Track and Field News High School Men's Athlete of the Year, first hammer thrower and first Rhode Island native ever to earn the honor...named the 1999 Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year in men's track and field, also first for a Rhode Island track athlete...first American hammer thrower recruited since Manny Silviero (Class of 1981).

PERSONAL: Double-major in finance and computer information systems...parents are Tom and Joanne Freeman...two siblings, Michael and John. Michael is currently a member of the Jaspers track & field squad.
