2018 Outdoors: Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team and the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team...Won the discus throw at both the Shamrock Invitational (53.28 meters) and the Sam Howell Invitational (54.18 meters) to open the outdoor season...Was named the 2018 Metropolitan Outdoor champion in the event with a throw of 52.71 meters...Also competed in the shot put at Mets, held April 13-14, earning third place with a throw of 15.35 meters...Threw a personal best 54.83 meters in the discus to win the 2018 MAAC Outdoor Championship on May 6 in West Long Branch, NJ...Followed the performance with a first-place showing at the 2018 ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships in Princeton, NJ, winning the discus with a distance of 52.88 meters...Finished 12th in the discus throw (53.81 meters) at the NCAA East Preliminaries to qualify for the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, OR...Placed 22nd overall in the discus at NCAAs with a throw of 51.46 meters.
2017-18 Indoors: Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team...Placed second in the shot put at Fordham's Mike Massone Invitational, hitting a distance of 15.38 meters...Earned third place in the event at the 2018 Metropolitan Indoor Championships, throwing a distance of 15.46 meters...Earned a top 10 finish in the shot at the 2018 MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at The Armory, hitting 16.10 meters...Also earned 10th in the shot put at the 2018 ECAC/IC4A Championships, throwing a distance of 16.45 meters.
2017 Outdoors: Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team…Had an effort of 166’1, which was good for second in the discus at the Dennis Craddock Carolina Relays on March 17…Secured second place in the discus (172’11) and sixth in the shot put (51’7¼) at the Monmouth Season Opener on March 24…Chosen as MAAC Field Performer of the Week on March 28 after notching sixth place in the shot put (51’7¼) at the Monmouth Season Opener on March 24…Had a pair of first-place finishes in the shot put (52’0) and discus (171’3) to go along with a ninth-place showing in the hammer throw (143’0) at the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships on April 14…Took fourth in the discus (164’4) and seventh in the shot put (53’3) at the Larry Ellis Invitational on April 21…Contested the men’s college discus at the Penn Relays on April 28, securing seventh place with a toss of 168’0…Earned the silver medal in the discus (162’4) and finished ninth in the shot put (46’10¼) at the MAAC Outdoor Championships on May 6…Placed fifth in the discus (167’6) at the IC4A Outdoor Championships on May 12.
2016-17 Indoors: Earned a place on the MAAC All-Academic Team…Placed third in both the shot put (46’5¼) and weight throw (51’11¾) at the Crowell Open on Dec. 3…Took third in the weight throw (48’5½) at the Seahawk Shootout on Dec. 9…Won the weight throw (56’3¾) at the Fordham Vince Forte Invitational on Jan. 13…Captured fifth place in the shot put (50’1¼) at the Tiger Invitational on Jan. 14…Got out to a distance of 50’11½, which was good for fourth place in the shot put at the Penn 8-Team Select on Jan. 21…Finished second in the weight throw (55’0¾) and third in the shot put (50’11) at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships on Feb. 2…Grabbed sixth place in the weight throw (52’6¾) at the Millrose Games on Feb. 9…Secured fourth place in the shot put (54’4) and fifth in the weight throw (55’2¾) at the MAAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 18…Qualified for the IC4A Indoor Championships (March 3) in the shot put, ending up 12th with a mark of 52’1.
2016 Outdoors: Selected to the MAAC All-Academic Team…Opened the campaign with a season-best performance of 162’6 in the hammer throw at the Baldy Castillo Invitational on March 18…Placed first in the discus (164’1), third in the shot put (44’7½) and seventh in the hammer throw (143’5) at the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships on April 8…Captured third place in the discus with a toss of 158’0 at the Princeton Outdoor Invitational on April 15…Participated in the men’s college discus throw at the Penn Relays (April 28) for the second straight year, ending up 11th with a best effort of 157’0…Had a season-best mark of 167’5, which was good for fourth place in the discus at the Lions Invitational on April 29…Also secured third place in the hammer throw (151’4) at the Lions Invitational…Took second in the discus (165’1) to go along with ninth-place showings in the shot put (48’4) and hammer throw (144’3) at the MAAC Outdoor Championships on May 7…Finished ninth in the discus (162’2) at the IC4A Outdoor Championships on May 13.
2015-15 Indoors: Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team…Secured fourth place in the weight throw with a season-best effort of 56’7¼ at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships on Feb. 4…Finished third in the weight throw (46’11¾) and fourth in the shot put (46’6¼) at the Draddy Invitational on Feb. 13…Took fourth in the weight throw (54’1) and sixth in the shot put (49’6½) at the MAAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 21…Qualified for the IC4A Indoor Championships in the weight throw.
2015 Outdoors: Opened the season by grabbing ninth place in the discus (158’6) and 10th in the shot put (44’5½) at the UTSA Team Challenge on March 20…Won the discus (161’8) and took fourth in the shot put (46’3¼) at the Rider Invitational on April 11…Had a season-best effort of 163’8 to capture third place in the discus at the Larry Ellis Invitational on April 15…Competed in the men’s college discus at the Penn Relays (April 23), placing 20th with a mark of 158’8…Secured fourth-place points in the discus with a toss of 156’0 at the MAAC Outdoor Championships on May 2…Finished 20th in the discus (147’10) at the IC4A Outdoor Championships on May 15.
2014-15 Indoors: Made Manhattan debut at the Army Five-Way Meet on Jan. 9 and placed seventh in the shot put (43’3)…Placed 10th in the shot put (45’2½) at the MAAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 21.
Before Manhattan: Finished first in the discus at the Slovenian National Championships as a senior after placing second as a junior…Qualified for the Slovenina National Team as a discus thrower in both 2013 and 2014…Also a member of the Slovenian National Team in volleyball.
Personal: Son of Matjaz and Ana…Has three brothers, Matija, Leonard and Kristof…Majoring in kinesiology…Born on October 16, 1995.
