Made 21 appearances, making two starts... recorded an 8-1 record wth a 3.05 ERA over 56.0 innings of work... was even better in MAAC play, pitching to a 1.72 ERA... won his first eight decisions... his ERA led all MAAC freshmen, was fourth overall, ranked him 122nd in the NCAA, and placed him 10th on the Jaspers’ single saeson list... his win total tied him for the MAAC freshmen lead, and was tied for third overall and tied for third for wins in a season in program history... tied for the team lead with five saves, which was good enough for second in the MAAC for freshmen and tied for fifth overall... the save total places him in a tie for third on the Manhattan single season list... made his collegiate debut at South Florida... earned his first save with a scoreless inning at Wofford... tallied his first collegiate win at Florida International... tallied two-inning saves twice (at Siena and at Iona)... started first collegiate game at Columbia, earning the win after allowing one run over five innings... named MAAC Rookie of the Week on May 21... named to the Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-America Team, the All-Ping! Freshmen Second Team, and to the
Gotham Baseball Magazine All-Gotham Team... played his summer baseball for the New York Generals of the ACBL.
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year varsity letterman... received All-Conference and Northwest Conference All-Academic recognition as a senior... was also named to the Connecticut All-Star team and Team MVP while serving as team captain as a senior... led team in wins, strikeouts, innings pitched and games started as a senior... batted .403 as a senior, while leading the team in RBI, home runs, doubles, runs scored, and stolen bases... hurled a complete game, two-hit shutout in First Round of State Playoffs as a senior... named All-Conference as a sophomore... named to his high school honor roll all four years... played for Team Connecticut Baseball, and received the team’s Golden Arm Award during the summer of 2006.
