RIVERDALE, N.Y.- The Manhattan College softball team fell to visiting Kent State, 4-1, this afternoon at Gaelic Park.
Â
Kent State took an early 3-0 lead out of the gate. They were able to score on a double to right center that drove in their lead batter, who initially reached on a single to left field. Two RBI singles later in the inning gave the Golden Eagles a three-run lead and the only runs of the game until the fourth inning.Â

The Jaspers responded in the fourth inning with a run of their own. Maddie Weir registered a two-out double, followed by Lindsay Hoag reaching first on a Kent State fielding error. The setup placed runners at first third when Sophia Kiselosjki singled down the right field line to knock in Weir for the lone score of the day for Manhattan.
