BOCA RATON, FL– The Manhattan Jaspers women's basketball team (6-2, 0-0 MAAC) took down the Governors of Austin Peay State University (2-4, 0-0) inside Abessinio Court at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Midway through the second quarter, Manhattan put together a 12-2 run in two and a half minutes to take a double-digit lead over the Governors.
- Nitzan Amar put a bow on the second quarter with a last-second layup from Tegan Young to give the Jaspers a 16-point lead heading into the second half.
- The Jaspers and the Governors exchanged buckets, with the latter recording one more point in the third quarter but remained even in the final stanza.
