RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan led 2-1 after five innings before Fordham used a decisive sixth inning to top Manhattan 8-3 on Wednesday.
Both teams scored in the first inning. Fordham (16-14) struck in the top of the first despite not getting a hit off
Marika Deemer. Deemer brought in the run in the bottom of the first for Manhattan (5-18).
Megan Gillooley broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fifth with a solo home run to center field. It was the senior's first homer of her career.
Fordham had its first four hitters reach base in the sixth. With the score tied at two, Kelly Bright doubled to left-center to give Fordham a 4-2 lead. Two batters later, Allie Clark hit a three-run home run to make it 7-4 Fordham.
Both teams scored in the seventh.

Lauren Rende with a single in the bottom half of the inning.
All eight Jasper hits and three RBI came from different players.
Manhattan returns to MAAC play on Sunday when they visit Quinnipiac for a doubleheader.
