Riverdale, NY - Manhattan celebrated Senior Day with a hard-fought 48-44 win in completing a doubleheader sweep of Iona at Draddy Gymnasium.
Junior
Dee Dee Davis (Bronx, NY / Preston) scored 11 of her game-high 18 points in the decisive fourth quarter in helping the Jaspers improve to 10-6 and 9-3 in the MAAC, while the Gaels fall to 4-7 and 3-5 in the league..
Davis hit back-to-back triples to open the fourth-quarter scoring for the Jaspers, before tying it up at 39-39 thanks to splitting a pair from the charity stripe with 3:25 remaining in the game.

Pamela Miceus (Haverstraw, NY / North Rockland) followed by splitting a pair of her own, before senior
Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) hit a layup and three free throws to give Manhattan what would prove to be an insurmountable 45-39 lead with 44 seconds to play.
The visitors would get to within two at 46-44 with 11.1 seconds to play, only to be denied when Davis hit two huge free throws from the line to put the game on ice.
Notes
* Iona opened the game with seven-straight points, before Manhattan countered with six-straight on a Miceus jumper, a pair of Davis free throws and a Warley layup.
* After Davis tied the game at 9-9 early in the second quarter, the Gaels responded with a half-ending 10-3 run in opening up a seven-point advantage at intermission.
* Manhattan began the second half with six-straight points, thanks to a layup from Miceus and back-to-back layups from Warley.

Gabby Cajou (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) scored seven-straight points in giving the Jaspers a 27-26 advantage after three complete.

* Davis has now scored in double-digits a team-best 13 times, in 20 of her last 23 games and on 24 occasions for her career.
* She also drained at least three triples for the fourth time in six games, and seventh time overall this season.
* Warley joined Davis in double-figures with 12 points, while adding seven rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist.
* Miceus had eight points and a team-high eight rebounds.

* The Jaspers turned Iona over 20 times, while posting a 36-33 advantage on the glass, including 12-7 on the offensive end.
