Box Score (PDF) | Highlights

Riverdale, NY -
Junior Elijah Buchanan (Bronx, NY / Woodstock Academy (CT)) scored 15 points with five rebounds, four steals and a career-high three blocks to pace four double-figure scorers, but it wasn't enough as Manhattan dropped an 85-67 decision to Iona at the Hynes Center.

Classmate Samba Diallo (Rufisque, Senegal / UMass) added 14 points with eight rebounds, while junior Warren Williams (Kingston, Jamaica / St. Benedict's Prep (NJ)) chipped in with 12 points, eight rebounds, four blocks and three steals and classmate Ant Nelson (New York, NY / Seton Hall) 12 points to round out the double-digit performers for the Jaspers.

Trailing at 28 in the beginning stages of the second half, the Jaspers quickly ripped off nine-straight points to fuel a 19-5 run that sliced the deficit in half at 65-51 with 10:07 remaining. Manhattan would trim the Iona advantage to 14 on two more occasions, but was unable to get any closer.

The Jaspers registered a season-high 14 steals, while forcing 20 turnovers.

Manhattan is now 5-9 and 4-9 in the MAAC, while Iona is 6-3 and 4-1 in the league.
