Riverdale, NY -
Fueled by the duo of Pauly Paulicap (Sr., Elmont, NY / Harcum College) and Warren Williams (So., Kingston, Jamaica / St. Benedict's Prep (NJ)), Manhattan throttled Niagara by a 77-59 count before a crowd of 1,345 and a nationally televised ESPNU audience at Draddy Gymnasium.

Paulicap scored 20 points, on 8-of-10 shooting, with eight rebounds, while Williams finished with 14 points, on a perfect 5-for-5 showing from the field, with eight rebounds.

The victory was a fitting tribute on a night in which the 1994-95 team that won a school-record 26 games, earned the first-ever MAAC at-large and defeated Oklahoma in the NCAA Tournament was honored.

With the series sweep of the Purple Eagles, Manhattan is now 10-10 and 6-5 in the MAAC, while the visitors fall to 7-15 and 5-6 in the league.

Paulicap set the tone for the night with the first nine Jasper points as the Green & White opened up an early 9-4 lead just three minutes into the game. Manhattan's advantage would grow to a half-high 10, before heading into the break up by a 34-25 count.

In the second half, with the lead at 51-41 with 11:15 remaining, sophomore Christian Hinckson (Queens, NY / Tilton School (NH)) buried a three pointer to ignite a 12-1 run that made it 63-42 with 8:30 to play. The dominance would stretch out to a game-high 25 points on three occasions, as the Jaspers stretched their winning streak to two.

Manhattan owned the glass by a 41-29 count, including 17-11 on the offensive end, while making good on 42.3 percent (24-of-56) from the field, including 34.8 percent (8-of-23) from deep, and 75.0 percent (21-of-28) from the line.

Junior Samir Stewart (Fort Lauderdale, FL / American Heritage) added 12 points to round out the double-digit scorers, while Hinckson finished up with five points, six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal.  Greg Kuakumensah scored 13 points with five rebounds to pace Niagara.

Manhattan will look to make it three in a row at Quinnipiac on Sunday, February 9, with opening tip tabbed for 2:00 pm.
