Box Score (PDF)

Piscataway, NJ
– Rutgers scored in the waning moments of the second half to earn a 1-0 victory over Manhattan on Saturday night at Yurcak Field.

Senior Marcellin Gohier (Nantes, Frances / CENS) was outstanding in defeat, making nine saves in the loss. The nine saves were a season high, and the most for Gohier since September 30th, 2017 against Marist.

Rutgers (5-0) scored in the 88th minute off a strike from the top of the box from Jackson Temple. Gohier got a piece, but could not make his tenth save of the night as the ball deflected into the back of the net.

Manhattan's best opportunity came in the 60th minute, when junior Brandon Joseph-Buadi's (Brighton, England / Woodard) shot rattled off the crossbar and sophomore Simon Busch (Duisburg, Germany / Theodor-Fliedner-Gymnasium) had his rebound effort stopped by James Teal.

The Jaspers (0-3) returns to action on Tuesday, as they travel Connecticut to take on regional powerhouse #28 UConn.
