Unfortunately, Michigan broke through with four runs on three hits in the fourth inning taking an a 4-0 lead.

Manhattan would threaten in the sixth inning as freshman Keury Abreu (Bronx, NY / St. Raymond) walked and graduate student Shawn Blake (Stratford, CT / Elon) was plunked to lead off the frame. Unfortunately, the pair would be stranded on first-and-second and the Jaspers would only be able to muster an Alex Cerda (Jr., Miami, FL / Florida Christian School) leadoff double in the seventh the rest of the way.

Abreu was 1-for-2 with a walk to lead a three-hit Manhattan offense.

Stuart was solid on the mound, yielding four runs on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts over 5.0 innings.

Blake Nelson was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and a run to pace the Wolverines, while RHP Isaiah Paige and LHP Benjamin Keizer combined to shutout the Jaspers over 7.0 innings.

Manhattan will play at Fordham on Wednesday, March 20 at 3:00 pm.
