Fairfield, CT - Manhattan volleyball fell to MAAC undefeated Fairfield on the road Saturday, October 5. The Stags took the match 25-13, 25-16, 25-13.
The Jaspers move to 2-14 overall and 0-5 MAAC, while Fairfield improves to 9-4 and 4-0 in conference play.
Highlights:
- Manhattan out-blocked Fairfield 5-3, with Erin Hoener (St. Louis, MO / Incarnate Word) nabbing a match-high three blocks.
- Vivian Donovan (Newport Beach, CA / Newport Harbor) led the Jaspers with five kills. She added two aces and seven digs.
- Nashally Eleutiza (Orlando, FL / Monroe) earned a team-high eight digs, also contributing two service aces.
- Setter Julieanne McKee (Poughkeepsie, NY / Spackenkill) earned 17 assists on the day, bringing her season average to 8.10 assists per set in MAAC play.
- Fairfield hit .375 as a team in the match, including a .469 second set.
- Mayda Garcia and Kaylie Butts each totaled a match-high 11 kills for the Stags.
