With the match scoreless, the Jasper defense forced the Midshipmen to retreat and stole the ball from the visitors. Sophomore Milan Devuyst (Ostend, Belgium / Old Dominion) then fired a bullet that ricocheted off of Navy goalie Mac Burke before Carrington corralled ball and fired a blast into the upper left hand corner of the goal.

Junior Connor Hayes (El Dorado Hills, CA / Oak Ridge) made three saves in registering his second career save.

Burke made seven saves in defeat for Navy.
