Grinnell's performance highlighted an impressive performance from the Jasper newcomers, which combined for eight goals, with reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year sophomore
Parker Giarratana (Delray, FL / Boca Raton Community) notching the other two scores.
Junior
Michael Zingaro (Cortland Manor, NY / Walter Panas) had another solid performance in the net, making 16 stops between the pipes.
Bryant opened the scoring in the first quarter before freshman
Reid Martin (Buffalo, NY / Canisius) found the back of the net to tie it up at 1-1 at the 8:09 mark. After the Bulldogs responded with three scores, Grinnell scored the first of his three goals off a Giarratana pass. Giarratana followed suit with a goal of his own to draw Manhattan to one at 4-3 at the 8:13 mark of the second quarter while pressuring Bryant into a timeout.
Unfortunately, the Bulldogs answered with five-straight goals in jumping out to a 9-3 lead at the break.
The never-say-die Jaspers again rallied with a pair of scores to start the third quarter as freshman
Luke Hanson (Middletown, NY / Minisink Valley) and Grinnell found the back of the net.
Bryant then rattled off three-straight goals to end the third in taking a 12-6 lead.
In the fourth quarter, the Bulldog advantage would grow to 17-7 before Hanson, freshman
Trevor Pelletier (Miami, FL / Gulliver Prep) and Martin scored to provide the final 17-10 margin.
