Fairfield, CT - Fueled by a strong offensive effort, Manhattan earned a hard-fought 3-3 draw against Fairfield at Lessing Field.

With the stalemate, the Jaspers move to 1-11-3 and 1-5-2 in the MAAC while the Stags are 3-4-1 in the league.
Fairfield registered the first three shots of the match before Manhattan's first opportunity in the 33rd minute. After halftime, the Stags quickly scored two goals in assuming a 2-1 lead.
Manhattan, however, refused to go away quietly as sophomore Ryan Shields (Standish, Wigan, England / Standish Community) drilled a ball into the lower left corner off a Fabian Burnett (Sr., Bloomfield, CT / Monroe College) pass to tie the match up at 2-2 in the 67th minute.
In the 76th minute, senior Andrew Melitsanopoulos (Norwalk, CT / Norwalk) put the Jaspers in front with a header off a Hulme pass in staking the visitors to a 3-2 advantage.
Fairfield then went on the offensive and tied the match up at 3-3 in the 86th minute on a Diego Casielles score.
In overtime, each team had opportunities to win the match but were unable to convert.
Graduate Student Deljan Bregasi (Boglidsco (Genoa), Italy / St. Thomas University) made six saves while Hulme had a goal and an assist to pace Manhattan.
The Jaspers return to action at Niagara on Saturday, October 29 with opening kick tabbed for 1:00 pm.
