Riverdale, NY - Conor McGlynn's goal in the 88th minute lifted Siena to a 1-0 win over Manhattan at Gaelic Park.

The Saints improve to 7-7-2 and 5-2 in the MAAC while the Jaspers fall to 1-11-2 and 1-5-1 in the league.
Graduate student Deljan Bregasi (Boglidsco (Genoa), Italy / St. Thomas University) was outstanding in net for Manhattan, making five saves, including a pair of impressive stops in the first half.
In the opening period, Alexander Tejara appeared poised to put Siena on the board early as he has a breakway with only the goalie to beat, but Bregasi snuffed out the shot and the Saints' counter went wide left.
Manhattan then went on the offensive and senior Niels Kirch (Zülpich, Germany / Virginia Tech) placed three balls on goal only to be denied each time by Aleks Radosavljevic.
After halftime, the teams traded blows before the visitors found the back of the net when Cameron Allen sent in a cross that was deflected by J.C. Obregon to McGlynn, who blasted the ball into the lower left corner.
The Jaspers would have one last chance with 45 seconds to play, but were unable to convert on freshman Leonard Sohn's (Fichmond Hill, Ontario / Bill Crothers Secondary) corner kick.
Siena outshot Manhattan 16-11 while holding an 8-4 advantage on corner kicks.
The Jaspers return to action at Fairfield on Wednesday, October 26 with first kick tabbed for 7:00 pm.
