MEN'S TRACK FINISHES EIGHTH AT THE IC4A CHAMPIONSHIPS

New Haven, CT (May 16, 2004)-The Men's Track and Field Team finished eighth at the IC4A Championships held at Yale University in New Haven, CT. The Jaspers finished with 37 points just 13 points away from the 2004 Outdoor IC4A Championship Team Army. Thomas Jacob Freeman and Rajne Svenssohn were the top finishers for Manhattan both capturing first place in their events, Freeman in the Hammer Throw with a toss of 66.92m and Svenssohn in the Decathlon earning 7, 411 points.

Magnus Ahlen captured ninth place in the Triple Jump leaping 14.55m. Taking 17th in the Triple Jump was Janek Augustynowicz after jumping 14.24m.

At the ECAC Therese Forsberg placed 10th in the 1500m finishing in a time of 4:36.48.

Qualifying Jaspers will compete on Friday, May 28 at the NCAA Regional held in Gainesville, FL.
