West Point, NY (March 28, 2004)-Manhattan Track competed at the Dick Shea Open this weekend earning four NCAA Regional and five IC4A qualifying marks in the Hammer Throw.
Thomas Jacob Freeman competed in the Hammer Throw throwing 66.26m placing first in the competition. Coming in second place in the Hammer and earning an IC4A mark of 60.59m was
Zoran Loncar.
Michael Freeman came in third place in the Hammer after throwing 59.77m. Fourth place
Anders Constantin threw 58.49m. Dan Gazzola earned a sixth place finish, and an IC4A qualifying mark, throwing the Hammer 53.31m.
Not only did Constantin qualify for the IC4A in the Hammer but he also qualified in the Shot Put after his first place toss of 15.68m. In the men's 3000m Steeple Chase, Todd Raymond finished fifth in a time of 9:59.28. Joe Cruz placed sixth running the 110m Hurdles in his personal best time of 15.34. Russel Stevens earned third place in the 400m dash finishing in a time of 50.04.
Jenna Daly earned first place in the Pole Vault vaulting 3.40m. In the women's Hammer Throw, Jennifer Bradley finished seventh with a toss of 33.67m. Jessica Jansson earned sixth place in the Shot Put throwing 11.80m. Julie Lamiquiz placed fifth in the 5000m finishing in a time of 18:45.70.
The Jaspers compete again on Friday, April 2 at the Sam Howell Invitational starting at 6 pm.
