RIVERDALE, N.Y. ā The start of 2025 has not gone the way Manhattan head coach John Gallagher envisioned it as the Jaspers are 1-3 since the turn of the new calendar year. Manhattan split the opening weekend of January before dropping both games this past weekend, thus relegating the Jaspers to the bottom half of the MAAC standings. Since MAAC play resumed earlier this month, Manhattan has been without freshman forward Fraser Roxburgh (7.6 points-per-game) due to a foot injury. Including Roxburgh's injury, the recent lows for Manhattan have included suffering a 103-95 double overtime loss at Siena on January 3rd. Conversely, the infrequent highs have been highlighted by a go-ahead three-pointer by Jaden with 6.8 seconds to go which sealed an 80-79 win at Rider on January 5th. Manhattan will look to get back on track on Saturday when it hosts Niagara.Ā
