The second quarter fell in favor of the Purple Eagles, matching the Jaspers 2-1 from the first quarter. This put the two teams at 3-3 going into the second half.
While the Jaspers would not regain the lead again in the third quarter, they always remained within one point of the Purple Eagles, sticking with them until the very end of the third.
The Jaspers met their end in the fourth, being outscored 8-1.
Ava Fernandes led the team this afternoon offensively, scoring two goals. The Jaspers play again this Wednesday, April 3, at 4:00 PM in Riverdale, N.Y., against Quinnipiac.
