RIVERDALE, N.Y. – At the home pool of Horace Mann, the Jaspers fell to Adelphi this weekend, and the final meet score was 135-67 in favor of the visitors.
The men had three top-place finishes this weekend against Adelphi, two of which were achieved by
Joe Brennan, who is ranked second in the MAAC for the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 54.70.
First up, Brennan placed first in the 50-yard breast with a time of 26.48, beating Adelphi's Connor Singer by .53 seconds. Brennan also placed first in the 100-yard free, finishing over three seconds ahead of second place with a time of 57.32.
Gavin Harding secured the Jaspers' third first-place finish on Saturday, setting a season-best in the 100-yard fly. Harding sped to the finish line in an impressive 53.40, seconds ahead of the nearest Adelphi swimmer.
In the 50-yard fly,
Jack Martin set a new personal best, finishing milliseconds behind first place at 24.35.
The men will compete again on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at the MAAC Championships.
