RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan women's basketball team (8-3, 1-1 MAAC) will host Siena College this Thursday at 11 a.m. for its Field Trip Day game. Free admission to the game for all kids 12 and under. Manhattan will then travel to Quinnipiac University this Saturday at 1 p.m. for their second and third conference games.
The Preview: Last time out, Manhattan faced Siena on February 9, 2023, with the Jaspers falling short, 75-65. Manhattan played Quinnipiac on March 9, 2023, winning 50-43.
The Opponent: Siena (4-6, 1-1 MAAC) picked up its first MAAC win over Mount St. Mary's, 61-55. Siena lost its last game against Cincinnati, 71-51. Siena was led in scoring by Teresa Seppala who had 11 points and six rebounds. Quinnipiac (4-6, 1-0 MAAC) picked up its first MAAC win over Rider University, 60-57. They lost their last game against Yale, 72-48. Brenna McDonald scored 16 points and nine rebounds for the Bobcats.
Leading the Way: Petra Juric led Manhattan, scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds.
Anne Bair added 12 points and 6 rebounds.
Jade Blagrove recorded 7 points and 5 rebounds in a home victory against Hofstra University, 53-45.
