Head Coach
Dave Miller in his first season at the control of the Jaspers guided to a 13-11 record in the MAAC. In order to get in, the Jaspers took care of business in the team's final MAAC series of the year, taking a two-of-three from the second-seeded Rider Broncs. The spot was secured thanks to
Tyler Fagler tossing seven shutout innings while only yielding one hit, issuing no free passes, and striking out seven Broncs on 86 pitches.
Pete Durocher and
Frankie Marinelli, who are fresh off earning All-MAAC honorifics this season, alongside All-Rookie Selections
Garret Garbinski and
Oliver Pudvar in the bullpen, will be the key pieces for Manhattan as they take on the Golden Griffins to open the season. When the team made the trip up to Buffalo to take on Canisius, Manhattan took game three of the series and played Canisius close in games one and two.
The Golden Griffins will arrive in Pomona as the three seed after a 24-23-1 record and 16-8 in MAAC play. Manhattan will square off with Golden Griffins ace, and MAAC Pitcher of the Year Matt Duffy. Manhattan did find success at the plate against Duffy earlier this season, tagging him for three runs and six hits in his six innings of work.
