RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan was on the wrong end of a 16-3 run in the second half and saw Marist pull away in an 81-58 win for the Red Foxes.
Marist's 16-3 run (10-17, 6-12 MAAC) lasted close to six minutes, turning a 56-45 Marist lead into a 71-48 advantage for the visitors.

RaShawn Stores. "They shot 68-percent from the field in the second half and 46-percent from three. We will learn from this and get better there."
Manhattan (10-16, 8-9) built an early six-point lead only to see Marist score 15 of the next 19 points to take a 19-14 advantage with five minutes to play in the opening half.
After trailing 32-26 at the half, the Jaspers scored the first four points of the second half to make it 32-30 Marist. The Red Foxes responded with back-to-back 3-pointers from Javon Cooley and Noah Harris to take a 38-30 lead. The Red Foxes' lead would grow to double digits during a 7-0 stretch after a
Samir Stewart jumper answered the back-to-back triples.
The 81 points are a new season-high for the Red Foxes. Marist went 12-26 from 3-point range. The 12 makes equal a season-high. Harris hit five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points. Patrick Gardner scored a game-high 25, with 20 of those coming in the second half.
Josh Roberts had 14 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks to lead the Jaspers.
Marques Watson added 13 points for Manhattan. Stewart made it three Jaspers in double figures, adding 10 points.
Manhattan returns to action on Sunday at Quinnipiac. The Jaspers and Bobcats are scheduled to tip at 2 p.m. on ESPN+ from Hamden, Conn.
