Jaspers Take on the Knights in New Jersey Saturday

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan women's lacrosse looks to win its second straight game to start the season at Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday. Saturday is the first game in program history for the Knights.

The Jaspers and Knights meet at noon from University Stadium in Teaneck. The game can be watched on NECFrontRow.com.

FDU competed once before Saturday in a scrimmage against the Division III FDU-Florham Devils when they won 12-9.

In last week's battle against Sacred Heart, Manhattan (1-0) led the Pioneers for the bulk of the game. However, the Pioneers come back in the second half to force overtime. Overtime was quickly ended when Julianna Iovine scored for the Jaspers with less than two minutes remaining in the extra session to give the Jaspers the 14-13 win.

Regan Mullins led the Jaspers' offense, putting up four goals and tallying six ground balls. Following her were Jillian Reiner, Iovine, and Julia Fernandes, all putting up hat tricks. Ashley Gambardella made 10 stops in goal for the Jaspers on Saturday in the win.
