RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan men's basketball returns to action on Sunday against Saint Peter's inside Draddy Gymnasium at 2 p.m.
The Jaspers will have had a week off since their last game, Sunday against Rider, which ended in a 67-56 loss to the Broncs. Four Jaspers scored in double figures against the Broncs.
Josh Roberts and
Samir Stewart led the way with 14 points.
Saint Peter's is coming off a win at home against Marist on Friday night, 67-56. Four scored in double figures for the Peacocks, led by Kyle Cardaci's 16 points. Jaylen Murray supplied 14 points for the Peacocks. Saint Peter's lived at the free throw on Friday night, going 20-26 from the charity stripe. The win on Friday night moved the Peacocks' record to 10-13 overall and 5-9 in MAAC play.
Ant Nelson recorded six assists last Sunday against Rider. It was the seventh time this season that the guard recorded at least six in a game. During league play, Nelson is averaging 5.2 assists per game.
Roberts continues to lead the MAAC in field goal percentage at 73.4-percent. That is 15 points above second place. Roberts' clip leads all of Division I too.
The Jaspers' defense leads the MAAC and is inside the top 65 nationally in turnovers forced per game (14.9) and steals per game (7.8).
