Box Score RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan women's basketball team defeated Queens College 68-42 tonight in an exhibition game tonight at Draddy Gymnasium.
"I'm really excited with the energy, connectedness, and the hustle that the team is playing with," said head coach
Heather Vulin. "We did a tremendous job sharing the ball tonight, responding and making adjustments."
The women's team was led by
Jayla James, who had 14 points, five steals and three rebounds.
Anne Bair and
Tegan Young had 13 points apiece, while
Petra Juric had a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Jaspers never trailed in the game as they led by as many as 29 points, shot 36.1 from the floor, while holding the Knights to 29.5 percent.
Manhattan opens the season on Monday, Nov. 6 versus Central Connecticut State at home at Draddy Gymnasium.
