Box Score RIVERDALE, N.Y.- Manhattan sweeps Siena on the road, achieving their first weep of the season. The final set scores were 25-21, 25-17, and 25-23.
The Jaspers took advantage of early leads in all three sets, forcing the Saints to play catch-up for the entire match.
In the first set, the Jaspers and the Saints went back and forth, with the Jaspers maintaining the lead. The Saints made their one and only push in the first set, scoring five points and taking the lead from the Jaspers at 15-12. However, the Jaspers shut down this advance with a six-point run of their own, eventually winning the set 25-21.
The second set was the strongest for the Jaspers. They scored the first point of the set and maintained the lead throughout. The largest lead of the set that the Jaspers achieved was eight, coming shortly after a four-point run, making it 21-13.
In the third and final set, the Saints had their strongest showing yet. Shortly after scoring the first point of the set, the Saints were able to snatch the lead from the Jaspers, leading by as much as five. However, despite the way the set started, the Jaspers mustered a 9-2 run, regaining the lead from the Saints. The Jaspers closed out the set by scoring three straight points to win it.
Leading the Jaspers' offense were

Camila Gomez, each scoring 16 kills.
Sarah Emmons led the team tonight in assists, setting up 30 for her teammates.
Manhattan plays again on Wednesday, October 11th, at 7:00 p.m. against Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.
