Another Week of Volleyball

Wednesday & Saturday November 1st – 4th
Fairfield, Conn. and New Rochelle, N.Y.
Times: 7:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
 
The Manhattan women's volleyball team is continuing its road stretch this week, taking on Fairfield and Iona University.
 
Fairfield: The Stags are currently number two in the MAAC with a current record of 11-2. The Jaspers and the Stags last faced each other later last month, falling to the Stags 3-0. The Stags' eight-game win streak came to an end this past weekend after falling to Quinnipiac 3-1. The Jaspers will be coming into this match on a five-game win streak.
 
Iona: Following that, the Jaspers will come back to New York to face the Gales. The Jaspers also fell to the Gales earlier this month, dropping the match 3-1. Prior to coming into the match against the Jaspers, the Gales lost 3-0 to Rider.
 
Leaders: Leading the Jaspers against the Peacocks last week was Maike Bertens with 22 kills for the day, closely followed by Mikalah Curran with 18. On defense, both Dominique Velarde and Curran contributed 14 digs.
