RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan volleyball team prepares for a three-game slate of action this week on the road. The Jaspers will kick it off Wednesday, Sept. 14th, at 7 p.m. at LIU.

The Jaspers come into the week looking to gain momentum after an 0-3 weekend at the Big Apple Tournament. Notably, the Jaspers gave a strong effort on Friday against St. Francis Brooklyn, dropping the last two sets (25-22 and 25-21). Leaders this past weekend were
Julia Menocal with 28 kills,
Sarah Emmons with 56 assists and six aces, and
Camila Gomez with 23 digs.

Long Island (2-7) enters the week on a five-game losing streak after appearing in the Art Carmichael Invitational this past weekend. The last win for the Sharks came against NJIT on Sept. 2.Â

On Saturday, Sept. 17th, at noon, the Jaspers visit Marist. Marist (4-5) recently played in the Art Carmichael Invitational, going 1-2 over its three games in Rhode Island. It will be the MAAC opener for both teams. Marist will play UAlbany on Tuesday night.Â

This weekend's finale will be on Sunday, Sept. 18
th, at 3 p.m. when the Jaspers travel to Siena. Siena (2-7) comes into play this week, picking up two out of three last weekend at the Dartmouth Invitational. The Saints will meet Iona on Saturday to open MAAC play before facing Manhattan.

Leading the attack for the Jaspers is Menocal, who leads the team with 72 points, ranking second in the MAAC at 4.00 points per set. Emmons, who enters Wednesday with a team-high 98 assists, ranks seventh in the MAAC with 5.44 assists per set, orchestrates the Jasper attack.
