PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Manhattan broke a 2-2 tie after five with seven runs over innings sixth through eight to win 9-2 in the series finale against Siena on Sunday.
The Jaspers won the series with the Saints and have won all three series in MAAC play this season.
Manhattan (15-13, 6-3 MAAC) got two in the sixth, and one in the seventh, before tacking on four in the eighth.
Matt Padre broke the 2-2 tie with a two-run home run to left-center in the sixth. It was the first homer of the season for Padre.
Alfredo Delgado then brought in
Trevor Santos in the seventh to extend the lead to three.
In the eighth, Padre got the scoring going with a two-run double to left-center that was out of reach of Siena's (8-22, 5-4)
Ryan McGee, who dove for the ball in the gap. Padre came around to score on a
Jack Lynch RBI single. Lynch touched home on an error to finish the scoring for the Jaspers.
Padre finished the day 4-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored. Lynch drove in two and scored twice for Manhattan.
John Farley tossed four innings of relief for the Jaspers to collect the win. The lefty did not allow a hit and only walked one.
The Jaspers visit LIU on Tuesday at 3 p.m. before hosting Fairfield at Clover Stadium for a three-game series starting on Wednesday.
