HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Manhattan led at the half before Hofstra scored four in the third to win 8-4 on Saturday.
Hofstra (4-4) led 2-0 after the first before Manhattan (2-4) scored three in second to take a 3-2 advantage into the locker room.
Brendan O'Sullivan scored his third of the season with 10:19 to play in the second. O'Sullivan's tally came in a man-up situation on a feed from
Jake Nicolosi. The Jaspers added two inside of two minutes.
Christian Lyons scored unassisted, then
Quinn Bowler found Jack Shanely to give Manhattan the lead with 3:48 to play before the half.
Hofstra's four-goal third was part of a six-goal run that lasted into the fourth quarter.
Kyle Gucwa added the final goal of the afternoon for the Jaspers. Gucwa's tally was his 15
th season and came of Nicolosi's second assist of the afternoon.
Brendan Krebs recorded 11 saves in goal for the Jaspers.
The Jaspers are back in action on Saturday, Mar. 19, against Quinnipiac at noon in the first game of conference play.
