Fairfield (12-14, 6-9) jumped out to an 8-2 lead after a 6-0 run in the first five minutes, but the Jaspers answered with an 8-0 run. Thanks to an alley-oop from senior Josh Roberts and a deep three from classmate Nick Brennen Manhattan was able to pull ahead 14-12.

Manhattan then hit eight free throws in the last minute of play to secure the win. Jose Perez scored nine points in the final twenty minutes, and Nelson added 15 in the second half.
