Women's Basketball Set to Honor Davis Against Howard

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan women's basketball team returns to Draddy Gym for a home contest with Howard prior to the squad's Thanksgiving trip out west.

Prior to the start of Saturday's game, senior guard Dee Dee Davis will be presented with her 1,000-point ball, a mark she surpassed last year during the MAAC Championship. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+. Tickets to Saturday afternoon's contest can be purchased HERE.

The Jaspers are coming off an opening week that featured a trio of tough games in Wagner, Stony Brook, and Duquesne.

Thus far, Davis as continued to show that scoreless prowess that helped her earn MAAC Preseason Player of the Year, averaging an impressive 19.0 points per contest early on in the non-conference play. She will enter the Howard game hot off her first collegiate double-double at Duquesne, hauling down 11 rebounds to go around with 28 points.

Jade Blagrove has stepped up down low this year, hauling down 12 rebounds in the season opener against Wagner and following that up with eight against Stony Brook and seven at Duquesne.

Leyla Ozturk has slotted in nicely early on in the season. The transfer from Northeastern has tallied nine blocks in her first three games representing the Green and White to go along with 10 boards.
