RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan women's soccer closes the 2022 regular season on Wednesday night against Saint Peter's at Gaelic Park at 7 p.m.
The Jaspers enter Wednesday at 3-7-4 and 1-5-3 in MAAC play and are coming off a 1-1 tie against Canisius on Saturday.
Ianah Mackey scored to get Manhattan back level in the 26
th minute against Canisius.
Julia Nicholas supplied the assist while
Audrey Johnstone made four saves in goal to help Manhattan earn the draw.
Saint Peter's sits at 4-13 overall and 3-6 in MAAC play and is coming off a 2-0 loss to Quinnipiac on Saturday. Gianna Grassifulli paces the offense for the Peacocks with five points—two goals and one assist. Skyler Owens has a team-best four assists. Eleven different Peacocks have registered at least a point this season. Olivia Mackethan has started 15 of 17 games in goal for Saint Peter's and owns a 1.96 goals-against average.
Mackey's goal on Saturday was her second of the season. The junior also scored at Fairfield back on Oct. 5. Johnstone's four stops against the Golden Griffins on Saturday brings her season total to 14 over three appearances. The senior owns a 0.737 save percentage.
Kim Mains sits second in the MAAC in goals against average with a 1.048. Mains has allowed only 11 goals this season. Mains is T3 in the MAAC with four shutouts.
