RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Manhattan trailed by 23 points in the third quarter but outscored Rider 31-9 in the fourth quarter to get the 63-58 win inside Draddy Gymnasium on Thursday night. The win keeps Manhattan perfect at home this season.
Manhattan (7-5, 2-1 MAAC) trailed 49-35 at the start of the fourth. The Jaspers then scored the first nine points of the quarter. That capped a 17-2 stretch over five minutes to bring the Jaspers to within eight, 49-41.

Brazil Harvey-Carr combined for 12 of the 17.
With 4:46 to play, Rider (3-9, 1-2) led 51-42. Manhattan scored eight straight to make it a two-point game, 51-49. Four different players had two points in the run. The Broncs continued to lead until there were 71 seconds to play when Davis hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 55. Manhattan took the lead with 24 seconds left on a Davis free throw. The next five points from Manhattan came from the free throw line as the lead grew to 61-55 for Manhattan.
Defensively, the Jaspers limited the Broncs to nine fourth-quarter points. For the game, Manhattan forced 19 turnovers, with 11 coming via a steal.
The Jaspers scored 32 points in the first three quarters before exploding for 31 in the fourth. Davis finished with a game-high 17 points.
Sydney Watkins and Harvey-Carr finished with 12 points. Davis added seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
Jenna Jordan pulled down a game-high eight rebounds.
Lenaejha Evans had 14 points to lead the Broncs.
Manhattan returns to the court on Saturday at 2 p.m. when Marist visits Draddy Gymnasium.
