West Long Branch, NJ – Manhattan dropped game one of today's scheduled doubleheader at Monmouth, and trailed in the nightcap when the game was halted due to darkness.
The teams will resume today's halted game tomorrow at 11:00 am, before finishing up their series with a doubleheader.

Game One
Monmouth plated a pair of runs in the fourth inning, and made them stand in posting a 2-0 win in the opener.
Manhattan mounted a seventh-inning threat in its final trip to the plate, as senior
Matt Padre (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central) opened the frame up with a single. He then moved to second on a wild pitch, before advancing to third on
David Moffett's (Oneida, NY / Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Senior) one-out single.
Unfortunately, the Jaspers would be unable to dent the scoreboard.
Trochiano doubled and was plunked to pace a five-hit attack for the Green & White.
Pitching for the first time since May 17, 2018, graduate student RHP
Logan Muratalla (San Dimas, CA / Mt. San Antonio) was solid, striking out six while yielding just two runs on three hits and four walks over 4.2 innings.
Game Two
Monmouth was up 2-1 over Manhattan when the game was halted due to darkness in the top of the sixth inning.
The Jaspers scored their first run of the year in their first trip to the plate, as graduate student
Richie Barrella (Larchmont, NY / Canterbury Prep) plated Trochiano with an infield single.
The Hawks would rally with two runs in the fourth inning in taking a 2-1 advantage.
Barrella had two of Manhattan's four hits when the game was halted.
Junior LHP
Jack Mahoney (Latham, NY / Stony Brook) was solid in his first collegiate start, striking out five while yielding two runs on four hits over 5.0 innings.
