Miceus, Warley Power Manhattan To Win Over Saint Peter's

Box Score (PDF) | Highlights

Riverdale, NY -
Graduate student Pamela Miceus (Haverstraw, NY / North Rockland) scored a career-high 13 points to go along with 10 rebounds in posting her first career double-double, while senior Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead Manhattan to a 75-70 win over Saint Peter's.

Playing before a nationally televised audience, the Jaspers and the Peacocks traded body blows over the first three periods, before the Green & White took control in the fourth. Down by two with just over nine minutes to play, junior Dee Dee Davis (Bronx, NY / Truman) hit a three pointer off a Christina Katsamouri (So., Thessaloniki, Greece / Hellenic College of Thessaloniki) pass. Katsamouri then converted a three-point play, before draining two more from the charity stripe in staking Manhattan to what would prove to be an insurmountable 59-53 lead with 7:03 to play.

Saint Peter's would make it a one-possession game on three more occasions, but was unable to further dent the lead.

The Jaspers improve to 8-6, while the Peahens are now 6-10.
