Buffalo, NY - Manhattan women's basketball (10-14, 7-8 MAAC) will meet Canisius (3-20, 2-12 MAAC) for the second time this year on Thursday, February 20 at 7:00 pm. The match-up will stream live from Koessler Athletic Center on ESPN+.

GAME NOTES

Last Outing
Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) earned a career-high 19 rebounds against Rider on February 15, the MAAC's best rebounding performance of the season, as the Jaspers fell to the Broncs 55-50 in Draddy Gymnasium.

Warley at Work
Warley earned 10 rebounds in the second half on her way to the career-high against Rider, surpassing her previous standard of 16 set at Fairleigh Dickinson earlier this season. The daily total brought Warley to 636 rebounds for her career, and just five away from tying for 11th all-time. Warley contributed a team-high 12 points against Rider, as well, recording her fifth double-double of the season. In addition to the rebounding milestone, Warley earned three blocks in the game, bringing her career total to 102 and keeping her in fifth place all-time. Warley is just the fifth player in program history to record 100 blocks during their time in Riverdale.

Warley leads the MAAC with 3.1 steals per game against conference opponents, while ranking third with 9.7 rebounds per game against MAAC teams. She is averaging 11.1 points per game in conference play (22nd in the MAAC), shooting 51.7 percent from the field. With 2.6 steals per game overall this season, she is second in the league and ranks 33rd in all of Division I.

Warley now has 636 rebounds for her career, currently 12th all-time and just five away from tying Shayna Ericksen (2012-16) for 11th place. Warley is also 18 steals away from tying for 15th on that all-time list.

With three assists against Rider, Gabby Cajou (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) tied Joann Nwafili (2004-08) for 15th all-time (277). She is now just one away from 14th all-time and 22 away from the program's top 10. Cajou is also 11 steals away from tying Michelle Pacheco (2006-10) at 15th on that all-time list.

With a career-high four blocks against Iona on January 25, Pamela Miceus (Haverstraw, NY / North Rockland) moved into 13th all-time, surpassing Linda Bores (1980-84) and current Manhattan Athletic Director Marianne Reilly (1978-82). About the Golden Griffins
Just 2-12 in MAAC play, Canisius earned a banner win over Fairfield on February 8. As a team, the Griffs hold the league's best three-point shooting offense, shooting .363 from behind the arc for the season.

D'Jhai Patterson-Ricks ranks fifth in the MAAC for scoring, averaging 15.1 points per game, followed by Danielle Sanderlin at 13.2 points per contest (12th in the league). Sanderlin adds 7.6 rebounds per game for the Griffs, ranking fifth in the MAAC.

Last Meeting
Emily LaPointe (Staten Island, NY / Staten Island Academy) set a career scoring-high of 25 points when the Jaspers and Griffs first met on January 2, with Manhattan earning a decisive 68-50 win.

LaPointe was one of three Jaspers to score in double-figures: Sydney Watkins (Wanaque, NJ / Saddle River Day) contributed 16 of her own, hitting four threes in the game, while Warley added 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

Shooting just 19 percent in the first quarter, the Jaspers found themselves down by 10 in the beginning of the second before going on a defense-fueled 15-0 run midway through the period to take over the lead. At the half, Manhattan and Canisius were locked-in at 33 apiece. A huge third quarter sealed the win for Manhattan, who shot 55.6 percent from the floor in that period, including going 4-7 from beyond the arc.
