Riverdale, NY
- Marist scored seven-straight points in overtime, before holding off a late Manhattan push in posting a 72-67 win at Draddy Gymnasium.

In defeat, junior Ant Nelson (New York, NY / Seton Hall) was once again marvelous, finishing with 23 points, five assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block. Classmate Jason Douglas-Stanley (Mount Vernon, NY / George Mason) finished up with a career-high 19 points in joining Nelson in double-figures.

The Jasper defense forced at least 20 turnovers for the second-straight game, finishing with 21 while drawing nine offensive fouls.

Junior Marques Watson (Brooklyn, NY / Miami Dade College) had a strong game off the bench, finishing with nine points, a team-high eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Notes
* Trailing by four with 12:01 to play in regulation, Watson hit a triple, Douglas-Stanley a pull-up jumper and junior Ebube Ebube (San Juan, Puerto Rico / Lawrenceville, Academy (NJ)) a layup to spark a 7-0 run that gave the Jaspers a 44-41 lead with 10:00 to play.
* After Marist reclaimed the lead, junior Warren Williams (Kingston, Jamaica / St. Benedict's Prep (NJ)) hit a free throw, before converting a layup off an impressive feed from Nelson, who then quickly stole the ball and finished at the rim to put Manhattan up 49-45 at the 6:50 mark of the second half.
* Douglas-Stanley then hit a huge triple to put the Jaspers in front 58-55 with 2:31 to play, only to see Marist answer with 30 seconds remaining.
* Douglas-Stanley scored seven points in the second half, after registering 12 in the first half.
* In overtime, junior Samba Diallo (Rufisque, Senegal / UMass) hit his first three pointer in the Green & White to give Manhattan an early 61-60 advantage.
* After falling behind by six in the extra session, junior Nick Brennen (Irvington, NY / Harcum College) converted a four-point play to make it a two-point game at 67-65 with 1:47 remaining.
* Unfortunately, the visitors would score five of the final seven points to end the game.

* Nelson, who scored 15 points in the first half, registered his second 20-point performance of the season, and has led Manhattan in scoring in all four games.
* On the year, he is averaging 20.0 ppg and 3.3 apg, while shooting 52.1 percent (25-of-48) from the floor and 44.4 percent (8-of-18) from long range.
* Manhattan (1-3; 1-3 MAAC) made good 76.5 percent (13-of-17) from the line, but was outscored by Marist (5-1; 3-1 MAAC) at the line (32-13) by almost 20 points.

* Ricardo Wright finished with 18 points, while Victor Enoh had 11 points and 15 rebounds to lead way for the Red Foxes.
