Box Score (PDF)

Riverdale, NY -
Manhattan shot a blistering 50.8 percent (30-of-59) from the floor, including 48.0 percent (12-of-25) from deep, in posting a decisive 81-69 win over Siena at Draddy Gymnasium.

Senior Tyler Reynolds (Syracuse, NY / Harcum College) netted a season-high 16 points to pace four double-figure scorers as the Jaspers improve to 7-6 and 3-1 in the MAAC, while the Saints fall to 7-7 and 3-2 in the league.

Sophomore Samir Stewart (Fort Lauderdale, FL / American Heritage) put the game away down the stretch, scoring seven of his season-high 15 points in the final two minutes of action.

Classmate Christian Hinckson (Queens, NY / Tilton School (NH)) also had a season-high 14 points with six rebounds and three assists, while fellow sophomore Elijah Buchanan (Bronx, NY / Woodstock Academy (CT)) rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points, while adding six rebounds, two steals and two assists.

Buchanan hit a jumper and Reynolds a triple to open the scoring as Manhattan owned a 9-7 lead just five minutes into the game.

Junior Nehemiah Mack (Harrisburg, PA / Massanutten Prep (VA)) and Stewart then each drained three pointers to spark a 9-2 run that pushed the Jasper advantage out to 18-9 at the 12:44 mark.

After Siena fought back to make it a five-point game, Mack again sparked big run with a layup, before sophomore Warren Williams (Kingston, Jamaica / St. Benedict's Prep (NJ)) converted a layup and Reynolds made another big three pointer to stretch the advantage out to 29-17 with 7:28 to play until the break.

Manhattan would continue to attack and used 12-2 spurt to make it a 20-point game with 1:27 until halftime, following a Pauly Paulicap (Sr., Elmont, NY / Harcum College) layup, and would lead 48-31 at intermission.

The Jaspers turned in arguably their finest half of the year in the first, making good on a blistering 57.1 percent (20-of-35), including 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from deep, while parlaying 11 Saint miscues into a decisive 13-1 advantage in points off turnovers.

After halftime, Manhattan used a big 11-0 run that was keyed by a pair of Hinckson three pointers to open up its biggest lead of the game at 70-44 at the 11:28 mark.
Siena, however, countered with a 16-0 spurt to make draw to within 10 at 70-60 with just over five minutes to play.

The Saints would get to within eight on three occasions, but was unable to get any closer as Stewart sank four free throws over the final 29 seconds to put the game on ice.

Siena made good on 41.7 percent (22-of-53) from the field, including 45.5 percent (10-of-22) from deep, and was led by Manny Camper, who finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
