Tykei Greene (Queens, NY / Long Island Lutheran) scored a career-high 14 points while classmate
Samir Stewart (Fort Lauderdale, FL / American Heritage) added 14 to lead Manhattan to a 64-60 win over Niagara at the Gallagher Center.
Greene scored all 14 of his points after halftime, fueled by three triples, and clinched the win with a pair from the line with just 2.7 seconds remaining. Stewart meanwhile went 5-for-7 from the field, including 4-of-5 from distance.
Over two games against Niagara this year, Stewart averaged 18.0 ppg while making good on 84.6 percent (11-of-13) from the floor, including 90.0 percent (9-of-10) from deep.

In large part to the duo, the Jaspers improve to 8-17 and 6-7 in the MAAC while the Purple Eagles fall to 11-15 and 4-9 in the league.
It was all Manhattan in the early going as the visitors jumped out to a 26-16 advantage with 4:18 until halftime following a pair of
Christian Hinckson (Fr., Queens, NY / Tilton School (NH)) free throws. Niagara then made its first major push of the game with a 12-2 half-ending run to trim the deficit to 28-26.
Niagara continued its hot play to start the second half, ripping off a 12-2 spurt in taking its largest lead of the game at 38-30 with 15:27 remaining. Greene quelled the spurt with a pair of free throws while kick-starting 9-1 game-tying run.
Sophomore
Ebube Ebube (San Juan, Puerto Rico / Lawrenceville Academy (NJ)) and freshman
Warren Williams (Kingston, Jamaica / St. Benedict's Prep (NJ)) continued the comeback with back-to-back layups, before Greene answered a Purple Eagle free throw his first triple of the night in tying it up at 39-39 with just over 12 minutes to play.
Later in the game with the score still tied (57-57), Stewart knocked down a jumper with 3:33 remaining to give the Jaspers the lead for good. Manhattan clinched the victory with a defensive stop before Greene capped his big game with a pair from the line.
The Jaspers shot 44.7 percent (21-of-47) from the floor, including 47.6 percent (10-of-21) from deep, and 85.7 percent (12-of-14) from the line.
Dominic Robb scored a game-high 17 points to pace Niagara.
Manhattan will look to make it two in a row at Canisius on Sunday, February 17 at 2:00 pm.
