West Long Branch, NJ - Manhattan women's basketball will play for its fifth win in six games as the Jaspers travel to Monmouth Tuesday night for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.

Last Outing
Manhattan (7-15, 5-6 MAAC) bounced back from its February 7 loss to Marist with a 62-44 W over Saint Peter's on February 9 in Jersey City. The Jaspers held the Peacocks to eight points in the fourth quarter while scoring 19 of their own on the way to victory. Manhattan scored 26 points in the paint for the game, compared to just 16 for the Peacocks. The Jaspers also earned 21 second-chance points, and pulled down 22 offensive rebounds for a total of 49 boards for the game, the team's best performance on the glass so far this season.
Top Performances
Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) scored a career-high 20 points against the Peacocks, adding 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season. This marked the sixth time Warley has led the Jaspers in scoring and the 18th time she has earned the team-high in rebounds. She added four steals and four blocks in the game, as well. Like Warley, Julie Hoier (Aabyhoej, Denmark / Marselisborg Gymnasium) also pulled down 11 boards for the Jaspers. The effort marks a career-high for Hoier, whose previous best was 10 rebounds earned January 24 against Niagara.
Versus the MAAC
D'yona Davis (Bronx, NY / Truman) and
Lynette Taitt (Irvington, NJ / Bishop Loughlin) lead the Jaspers in scoring against MAAC opponents so far this season. Davis is averaging 9.1 points per league game, while Taitt puts in an even nine of her own. Davis is shooting a team-high 43.2 percent from the field, while Taitt has scored in double-figures for five consecutive games. They are 27th and 28th, respectively, on the MAAC top 30 scoring list. Taitt adds 25 assists and 22 steals in MAAC play (11 games).
Warley at Work
With four blocks against Saint Peter's, Warley jumped into ninth on the program's all-time blocks list at 72 for her career. She is just one away from tying Sheila Tighe for the eighth-place spot. In other milestone news, Warley is 70 rebounds away from 10th on the program's single-season bests list, as well as seven blocks from jumping into that single-season list.
Warley leads the MAAC in rebounding with 8.8 per game and in blocks with 2.0 per contest. She also ranks eighth in the field goal percentage, shooting 42.8 percent per game. Against MAAC opponents, Warley leads the pack with 9.9 boards and 2.9 blocks per game, as well as 2.6 steals per contest, a league high.
About the Hawks
Monmouth (9-13, 5-6 MAAC) is currently tied with Manhattan for seventh place in the MAAC standings. This is the only time in the regular season that the two teams will face each other. The Hawks rank as the league's best rebounding team, with more than 40 per contest. The team is led by Sierra Green, who is averaging 14.0 points per game, including a MAAC-high 3.3 threes per game. Monmouth's Alexa Middleton ranks fifth on the MAAC's rebounding list with 7.2 boards per game.
