The Jaspers forced 15 turnovers with seven steals, but shot just 28.8 percent (17-of-59) from the field, including 35.0 percent (7-of-20) from deep, and were outrebounded by a 44-34 count.
Andrew Garcia had 16 points and nine rebounds while Elijah Olaniyi had 16 points to pace a Stony Brook team that made good on 43.1 percent (22-of-51) from the field.
Manhattan will next be in action at Fordham on Saturday, December 7 with tip time slated for 2:00 pm.
