Jaspers Return Home To Face Dartmouth

Riverdale, NY - Manhattan women's basketball will host Dartmouth on Sunday, December 1 in the Jaspers' second home contest of the season.

Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 pm in Draddy Gymnasium. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

GAME NOTES

Last Outing
Unable to overcome a 9-2 overtime run by Lafayette, Manhattan fell to the Leopards 60-53 on Tuesday, November 26 in Kirby Sports Center. Freshman Emily LaPointe (Staten Island, NY / Staten Island Academy) led Manhattan with 10 points and nine rebounds, just one away from her first collegiate double-double. It was her second-straight double-figure scoring performance after earning a career-high 18 at Villanova on November 21. Junior Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) added eight points and five boards for the Jaspers. 

The Rankings
The Jaspers currently rank fourth in the league for scoring defense, allowing 63.8 points per game so far this season. Averaging three blocks per game, they're tied for third in the MAAC, while ranking second in steals (8.4) per contest. As a team, Manhattan has a +2.60 turnover margin (second in the MAAC) and a 0.7 assist/turnover ratio (fourth in the MAAC).

About the Big Green
Dartmouth enters Sunday's match-up undefeated, with wins over Vermont, Merrimack and Fairfield. Three players average double-figures on the season: Annie McKenna (14.3 ppg), Anna Luce (12.3 ppg) and Paula Lenart (11.0). Lenart pulls down a team-high 8.0 rebounds per game. The Big Green tied with Columbia for sixth in the Ivy League's preseason poll. Last season, Dartmouth went 13-14 overall and 6-8 in conference, missing out on a trip to the four-team Ivy League tournament.

Previous Meeting
Sunday will mark the first meeting between Manhattan and Dartmouth in 15 years. The Jaspers and Big Green last faced each other on December 12, 2004, with Dartmouth winning 66-52 at Draddy. Dartmouth shot 51.3 percent from the field and held Manhattan to 29 percent shooting en route to the victory.

All-Time Series
Manhattan is 1-2 all-time against Dartmouth. The Jaspers' lone win came in the first meeting of the teams during the 1992-93 season, when Manhattan took a 58-57 victory from the Big Greene in Hanover, NH.
