Meagan Miller (Oakville, ON / Oakville Trafalgar) tied her career-high of eight blocks over just three sets Wednesday night, helping Manhattan sweep non-conference opponent NJIT 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.
Manhattan moves to 6-17 overall this season, while the Highlanders drop to 1-23.
Highlights:
- Miller earned seven block assists and one solo block on her way to her career high and the best Jasper blocking performance of the season. She led the Jaspers to a 13-5 team blocking advantage for the night, which held NJIT to a .089 hitting performance.
- Vivian Donovan (Newport Beach, CA / Newport Harbor) tallied a match-high 15 kills on the night, a season-best for the sophomore and the best three-set performance by a Jasper this year. She earned match-highs in aces (six) and digs (7), finishing with 23 points to lead all players. Her six aces were the most by a Manhattan player this year.
- Julia Menocal (Bronx, NY / Preston) added 10 kills for the match, bringing her double-digit kill streak to four matches.
- Erin Hoener (St. Louis, MO / Incarnate Word) contributed five blocks for Manhattan, including four block assists, which brings her career total for BAs to 184, ranking her 10th all-time.
- Setter Julieanne McKee (Poughkeepsie, NY / Spackenkill) totaled 30 assists on the night, earning double-digit assists per set. It was her best three-set assist performance of the season.
